Career Mobility Options
Program Description
The Associate in Science Degree in Nursing (ADN) Career Mobility Option (RNCM-AS) program provides quality educational opportunities for students seeking to advance in the nursing profession. The program is designed for the Licensed Practical Nurse to earn the ADN in three semesters. The program uses a combination of lecture, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction.
Program Information
This program is a limited access program, which means program admission and course registration are restricted to a limited number of students each semester due to accreditation requirements addressing student-faculty ratios and clinical resources. A student will first be admitted to Pensacola State College, and after satisfying all admission requirements for this program, the student is considered for admission to the ADN program. Application Pathways exist for students who have been admitted to the College and must complete any of the admission requirements. Students who do not have an earned Associate in Arts degree or earned baccalaureate degree may be placed in the Associate in Arts Pre-Nursing Advising Track. Students who do have an earned Associate in Arts degree or earned baccalaureate degree may be classified as non-degree seeking.
The Associate in Science degree in Nursing, Career Mobility Option program accepts 40 students each Fall term.
The graduate of the program that is seeking to become a licensed registered nurse is eligible to apply to the State Board of Nursing.
Each State Board of Nursing determines the graduate’s eligibility to take the licensure exam (NCLEX-RN). For more information, refer to Board of Nursing in the state you wish to have a license.
