Career Certificate - Plumbing Technology

Program Description

The Career Certificate in Plumbing Technology prepares students for a career in the plumbing industry by focusing on broad, transferable skills that stress both theory and hands-on training. This 1080 clock hour program uses a combination of theoretical, simulation, and hands-on instruction. Each student is strongly encouraged to consult an advisor or counselor prior to course registration.

Program Information

Plumbing is a 12-month, 1080 clock hour program of study that prepares students for employment or advanced training in a variety of pipe occupations by focusing on broad, transferrable skills, and stressing the understanding of all aspects of the plumbing industry.

The program enables students to obtain Level 1-4 NCCR (National Center for Construction Education & Research) certifications.

Classes begin in the fall semester and there are limited spaces available. The Plumbing program is offered at the Pensacola campus only.

Program Admission Requirements

  • Be at least 16 years of age.
  • High School Dual Enrollment students are welcome.
  • No high school completion or equivalent is required.
  • Be accepted to the college and have completed the entire admissions process.
  • This program is limited access due to equipment and space constraints.
