Career Certificate - Barbering
Program Description
The Career Certificate in Barbering prepares students for licensure and employment as a barber upon successfully passing the Florida Barber License Examination.
The curriculum outline below presents course requirements for full-time enrollment in the program. Part-time enrollment in the program may be possible. This 900-clock-hour program uses a combination of theoretical, simulation, and hands-on instruction. Each student is strongly encouraged to consult an advisor or counselor prior to course registration.
Program Information
Barbering is a 900 clock hour program of study that prepares students for State licensure and employment as a Barber to administer hair designs and hair care.
Classes begin in fall semester and there are limited spaces available. The Barbering program is offered at the Pensacola campus only.
Program Admission Requirements
- Be at least 16 years of age.
- High School Dual Enrollment students are welcome.
- No high school completion or equivalent is required.
- Be accepted to the college and have completed the entire admissions process.
This program is limited access due to equipment and space constraints.
