Career Certificate - Nails Specialty

Program Description

The Career Certificate in Nails Specialty prepares students for a career in the area of manicuring, pedicuring, and nail extension services by focusing on broad, transferable skills that stress both theory and hands-on training. This 180 clock hour program uses a combination of theoretical, simulation, and hands-on instruction. Each student is strongly encouraged to consult an advisor or counselor prior to course registration.

Program Information

Nails Specialty is a one semester, 180 clock hour program of study that prepares students for State licensure and employment in the areas of manicure, pedicure, and nail extension services.

Class begins in in the A, B and D terms in fall, spring and summer semesters and is offered at the Pensacola campus only.

Program Admission Requirements

  • Be at least 16 years of age.
  • High School Dual Enrollment students are welcome.
  • No high school completion or equivalent is required.
  • Be accepted to the college and have completed the entire admissions process.
  • This program is limited access due to equipment and space constraints.
