RET 2714C Pediatric and Neonatal Respiratory Care

Provides in-depth coverage of the concepts of neonatal and pediatric respiratory care. Emphasis is placed on normal neonatal and fetal development, airway management/resuscitation, normal/ abnormal lab values, pathophysiology and on the special equipment and therapeutic needs of infants and children. Pediatric and neonatal simulations will be designed for the student to increase clinical and critical thinking skills. Pediatric advanced life support will be covered in this class.
